MEET DZELAM:
Hans Dzelamonyuy: formerly known as HD SMILES, better known today as DZELAM, never thought he’d be an artist. Born and raised in Cameroon, West Africa, Hans was the church boy with a love for soccer, not the stage. Music was always around him, but never in his plans.
That changed when life moved him from his hometown to the city. In his new home, destiny sat just a few doors away, a producer with a studio in the same compound. At first, Hans was only a guest, hanging out while the beats played in the background. But one day, the producer asked a simple question that shifted everything: “Want to record something?”
What began as a playful moment turned into revelation. Hans stepped up to the mic, recorded a track, and shocked everyone, including himself. His raw talent was undeniable. The producer, now known as Smash-Lazer, told him to take music seriously. From that day forward,DZELAM was born.
Today, he wears two uniforms. One as a full-time soldier in the U.S. Army, and another as a part-time artist carrying a message of hope, love, and encouragement through every song. For DZELAM, music feeds the soul; it’s our testimony.
