MEET IMANI SIMPSON:
Killeen, Texas built her foundation, structure, resilience, and pride shaped by a military upbringing that demanded adaptability and focus. As a proud military brat, Imani Simpson learned early that discipline is a way of life.
At Killeen High School, she competed in basketball and track & field, specializing in shot put and discus. Strength met precision. Power met patience. That same work ethic carried her to Huston–Tillotson University, an HBCU where she earned a basketball scholarship and deepened her leadership beyond the court. While there, she became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, strengthening her commitment to service, scholarship, sisterhood, and community impact.
Today, Imani channels that same structure and accountability into her role at Robert M. Shoemaker High School, serving as a Behavior Management Unit (BMU) Skills Teacher and wrestling coach. Her approach is intentional. Firm but compassionate. Focused on growth both on and off the mat. She believes discipline builds confidence and confidence changes lives.
Her collaboration with PEGSTYLES reflects how she moves through the world: grounded, purpose-driven, and authentic. In a culture that often celebrates noise, Imani represents quiet strength. Character over clout. Substance over spotlight.
For Imani Simpson, leadership isn’t loud. It’s lived. It’s modeled. It’s earned.
