Imari Simpson | From Killeen, TX to Collegiate Athlete and Weiss High School Coach | Leading with Purpose

Georgette Bleau|
My name is Imari Simpson, and I call Killeen, Tx home. As a military brat, I’ve had the opportunity to live and experience life in places like Korea, Germany, Kansas, North Carolina, and of course Texas, but Killeen will always be home. I attended Killeen High School, where I competed in both basketball and track & field. My love for the game earned me a basketball scholarship to Northwest College (Powell, Wyoming) where I competed for two years before finishing my collegiate career at Valdosta State University( Valdosta, Georgia). Those experiences shaped me not only as an athlete, but as a leader, teammate, and competitor. Today, I’m a health teacher at Weiss High School in Pflugerville, Tx. I also serve as the Varsity  assistant basketball coach, JV coach, and Head Women’s Track Coach. I truly feel blessed to pour into students the same way my coaches poured into me. Being able to mentor young athletes, push them to be their best, and help them grow on and off the court and track means everything to me. Collaborating with PEGSTYLES has been a pleasure. I’m honored to represent a brand that promotes positivity in a world where negativity often gets the spotlight. I believe what you wear can reflect what you stand for, and I stand for purpose, growth, and uplifting others. Being part of a message that encourages people to move with confidence, lead with integrity, and stay grounded in positivity is something I’m proud to support.

                                                        MEET IMARI SIMPSON:

Rooted in Purpose. Built by the Journey.

Killeen, Texase is a huge part of Imari Simpson.

Raised a military brat, she experienced the world early,  living in Korea, Germany, Kansas, North Carolina, and Texas. Every move shaped her adaptability. Every new city strengthened her resilience. But no matter where life took her, Killeen remained home.

At Killeen High School, Imari made her name competing in basketball and track & field, building a reputation for discipline, heart, and quiet determination. That work ethic earned her a basketball scholarship to Northwest College, where she competed for two years before finishing her collegiate career at Valdosta State University. The journey is about leadership, growth, and learning how to show up when it matters most.

Today, Simpson pours that same passion into the next generation at Weiss High School. As a health teacher, Varsity Assistant Basketball Coach, JV Coach, and Head Women’s Track Coach, she stands in front of young athlete's as proof of what’s possible.

She teaches discipline. She models integrity. She demands excellence.

And she leads with heart.

Her collaboration with PEGSTYLES is a natural extension of who she already is. In a world where negativity often dominates the spotlight, Imari chooses to represent purpose, growth, and positivity. For her, what you wear is a statement  and she stands for confidence, character, and uplifting others.

Because for Imari Simpson, success is about who you’re becoming and who you’re helping rise along the way.
